Timberland Opens Little Collins Street Concept Store at Melbourne Walk
Aug 18, 2026
Melbourne Walk has welcomed global outdoor lifestyle brand, Timberland Australia, with the opening of its new Little Collins Street concept store.
The opening was celebrated on Wednesday 1 April 2026 with a one-night-only consumer event, ‘Butters Deli and Grocer’, inviting Melburnians to step into the brand’s NYC roots and the energy of downtown street culture.
Known for its heritage in craftsmanship and innovation, Timberland adds to Melbourne Walk’s vibrant tenancy mix, reinforcing the precinct’s position as a destination for globally recognised and experience-led retail.

The 115-square-metre concept store has been designed as a modern expression of the brand, blending elevated materials, considered design and storytelling-led merchandising. It sets the benchmark for how Timberland will continue to expand its presence in Australia, tapping into the growing intersection of streetwear, music and urban lifestyle.
Accent Group’s General Manager of Timberland, Joel Biggins, says the opening marks a pivotal moment for the brand locally.
“This store signals a new era for Timberland locally, one where we evolve beyond our heritage as an outdoor and workwear brand into a premium lifestyle space. It’s about creating immersive retail experiences that connect with culture, community and the next generation of consumers,” said Biggins.
Recognised for its boutique and specialty retail offering, Little Collins Street occupies a historic and established place in Melbourne’s retail network. Timberland’s concept store reflects the brand’s focus on durability and product-led design to this frontage, aligning with the street’s retail character and strengthening Melbourne Walk’s position as a connected, two-sided destination.
The opening also activated the Little Collins Street frontage of Melbourne Walk, extending the retail experience beyond Bourke Street Mall and strengthening the connection between the precinct’s two frontages. Timberland joins a growing ecosystem of global brands at Melbourne Walk, including anchors JD Sports and POP MART, and the Lacoste flagship concept store, which collectively offer performance, streetwear and lifestyle into one destination.
With five stores currently operating nationwide, Timberland’s Melbourne Walk location places the brand at the heart of one of Australia’s busiest retail precincts. This momentum reflects broader CBD recovery: CBRE Asia Pacific’s Australian CBD Retail Vacancy Report (February 2026) found Melbourne CBD retail vacancy tightened by 40 basis points to 6.5 per cent over the second half of 2025.
Developed by Steadfast Capital and located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Melbourne Walk spans Bourke Street Mall and Little Collins Street, connecting key pedestrian routes between Union Lane and The Causeway.
With both Bourke Street Mall and Little Collins Street now activated, Steadfast Capital is continuing discussions with prospective retailers across a number of categories. Further retailers announcements will be made in due course, with a staged rollout focused on securing operators that complement Melbourne Walk’s curated tenancy mix.
