Rising above Melbourne Walk behind four preserved heritage façades, Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins is a design-led boutique hotel in the heart of the CBD.
The building carries its history openly. Jewellers, bootmakers and drapers once worked this block, and the design keeps their memory in play. Monkey motifs nod to E.W. Cole’s book arcade, room numbers are struck onto brass coins each carrying a line from E.W. Cole, terrazzo tables come from recycled Skyy Vodka bottles, and Lisa King’s Cabinet of Curiosities mural rises through three levels.
Reception sits on Level 2, alongside a circular bar and a spiral staircase modelled on the old Sidney Myer drapery. The bar looks out through cathedral windows onto Fern’s Garden, an internal courtyard framed by open sky and planted with the ferns it takes its name from.

Almost every bottle on the wine list is Australian, and the signature cocktails, built with Little Lon Distilling Co., take their names from Melbourne figures like Joan Lindsay, Mirka Mora and E.W. Cole. Open from breakfast through to late drinks, with in-room dining available.
